This looks cool, but didn't turn out so well for T.S.
The dog that lives next to the overpass likes to catch snow when you throw it to him.
Catchin' a ride to the other side, for more messy fun.
This is serious stuff...notice how wet T.S.'s bibs and jacket are.
We met up with friends at the overpass today. As you can see, most of the snow was gone, but there was just Laurahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/00322898569174861610noreply@blogger.com4tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4767488426840490968.post-10691630634578433222011-12-25T19:34:00.000-06:002011-12-25T19:34:01.547-06:00Merry Christmas Everybody Say Cheese...We have had a fabulous Christmas weekend. Saturday we enjoyed supper and games with GeGe. This morning we woke up to Santa and snow! We enjoyed church then had lunch with GeGe and headed to Tulia to visit Nonnie. It was still snowing when we got home, so Robby and the kids bundled up and headed out for some hood riding. Now we are enjoying leftovers (yes, I let T.S. Electric guitar--T.S. has everything packed and ready to go for lessons tomorrow--only problem: we aren't sure if we have them or not.
Pink perfume and a James Avery charm bracelet--Santa knows where to shop!
Sadie and Robby (along with Kenli, Rylee and Craig) played two songs at church this morning.
Serious discussion with GeGe before heading out into the cold.

The kids constructed and decorated gingerbread houses yesterday. Every time we do this, it reminds me of the year Jennifer and Nonnie made one from scratch. Sadie was Imogene Herdman in "The Best Christmas Pageant Ever." The 5th and 6th grades presented it. These pictures are from dress rehearsal--because of the weather, I was afraid we wouldn't have school on performance day, and somebody thought it'd be a good idea for me to run the lights. T.S. started the month with a trip to The Grand to see Santa.
He was a shepherd in our church Christmas Pageant.
He saw Santa again at church.
Sadie unwillngly saw Santa at church--hope she doesn't get coal.
Our pageant was complete with sheep. All of the kids get to pick what part they'll be in the program, then they come up with their costumes.

She chose a hot air balloon. The paper-mache portion took longer than expected, but she finally finished it, and we thought it turned out quite well. He does a great job "blocking." I use the term roughly since no contact is supposedly allowed when you block. We then spent the day at the Tri-State Fair in Amarillo. Sadie had a fantastic day. Trying to get away--notice the spiked hair. I think he wanted to cover up the spots where chunks of hair were mysteriously cut.
Sixth Grade--I'm wondering if Sadie will be taller than the pencil at the end of school.
Highlight of Sadie's day--her own locker in P.E.

It's hard to believe that she has grown into a beautiful young lady in the blink of an eye.
11 things about Sadie:
1. She can go from tom-boy to princess in the blink of an eye--how many girls do you know that want feathers for their hair and a pellet gun?2. She is talented--she can play the fiddle and enjoys dancing and cheering.3. It was very windy. In their current age divisions, they play nine holes and are allowed to have a caddie. Because Sadie is about to move up into the division that doesn't allow caddies, Robby caddied for her, and I for T.S. T.S. definitely has a set way to go about things. Here's a picture with his birthday crown on and our new puppy, Elsie. We picked her up today--Sadie wants to be clear that it is OUR dog and we just happened to pick her up on T.S.'s birthday.
